Laying Low

Early into an afternoon game drive in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, we were driving along one of the dirt roads, and suddenly, "leopard!' was uttered.

We ground to a halt, and then backed up twenty metres to find Tiyani sitting in the grass a few metres from the road.  We almost missed her!

This was our second sighting of Tiyani in less than two days.

I quickly grabbed my rig and captured this image.  Shortly thereafter, Tiyani yawned, got up and walked in front of our vehicle to the other side of the road and continued on her way.
