Bakari
This is Bakari, which means ("one of noble promise" in Swahili).
Bakari is the largest and most dominant of four lion brothers, born at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo on 19 November, 2016.
This was our second visit to Sydney Zoo in Bungarribee, New South Wales.
On this occasion, we had booked a lion encounter, during which we had the opportunity to be up close and personal with the male lions.
We hand-fed Bakari and his brother Virunga during a fantastic and private experience.
