Kisaru at Rest
During a fantastic afternoon and evening spent almost exclusively in the company of female cheetah Kisaru, we had plenty of opportunities to photograph her as she rested on top of a mound.
It is very typical for big cats, and cheetahs in particular, to use mounds and other height-increasing formations to their advantage, as it gives them better visibility to survey their surroundings for both threats and potential meals.
