Emirates A340-541 Lands
An impressive A340-541 lands at SYD/YSSY, as viewed from ATC Tower 4 on 16/02/2008.
23/04/2009: I just learned that this very Airbus A340-541 was the aircraft which endured a tail strike during an almost-failed takeoff from MEL/YMML on 12/03/2009.
According to the Wikipedia article on this incident, the jet is under consideration for write-off, as it was badly damaged as it collided with runway 16's surface, as well as a few objects that it hit during ascent.
