Hippo on the Bank
During a sighting of a pod of hippos during our final game drive in the Mara North Conservancy, one of the alpha males emerged from the water and began grazing on the bank opposite to our position along a Mara River tributary.
This was the first time we have seen a wild hippo out of the water, and his size was certainly impressive.
